Slice king oysters in half lengthwise, use a fork to shred them up.
Shredded kings, already looking like meat. This is about half a dozen large mushrooms.
Throw them in a ziploc bag, add a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce, mix it up, and toss it in the fridge overnight.
The next morning put it all in the crock pot, set it on low heat and let it sit until evening.
Put it on a pretzel bun! Some folks seem to take offense at using meat-words to describe dishes with no meat. If it pleases the reader, call them “King oyster mushroom sandwiches in the style of pulled pork”. I prefer the less wordy one.
