Mini froe

Froes, of course, are not a new design. They’re a very handy tool allowing for precise yet powerful cuts and splits. The froe edge is placed on the wood to be split, and the back of the edge struck with a mallet. The froe handle allows for applying leverage, making splitting much easier than batoning with a knife. I designed this compact model and had it commissioned by a blacksmith. They were very popular and I’ll likely have more made soon.
